SC appreciates remedial measures taken by the respondents to plant trees

Facts of the case
The petitioner filed a contempt petition against the respondents for disobeying the orders of the court and the National Green Tribunal regarding tree plantation in Delhi. The court commissioner reported that the respondents have planted more than 2000 trees in various locations as per the directions of the court. But the petitioner contended that they have complied with the court order and have also expressed their apology for the delay.
Court analysis and judgement
In this present case the court, after looking into the merits and evidence of the case came to the conclusion that the respondents have all fulfilled their duties and obligation of planting tress in and around Delhi in fact, this court has also placed on record the appreciation for the respondents for taking steps in increasing the green cover in Delhi. This Court also records the submission made by learned counsel appearing for respondent no.1-PWD that the de-concretization around the trees has been undertaken in a substantive manner. He further submits that wherever damage of trees had been done inadvertently by the respondents, remedial measures for plantation of trees have already been taken under the directions of this court. The court in its judgement discharged the notice of contempt.
