FACT:
The current plea has been submitted under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (referred to as ‘the Cr.P.C.’), seeking an order to expedite the resolution of the ongoing request to lift the suspension of the accused/respondent’s sentence.

Upon reviewing the zimni orders within the mentioned judicial file, it is evident that the request to annul the suspension of the sentence issued on 18.02.2021 was left unresolved on more than nine occasions, awaiting a response from the appellant-accused. Eventually, the appellant-accused submitted their response on 18.10.2022. Subsequently, the matter lingered without a decision on the said request, and the case was scheduled for arguments on the primary appeal without addressing the aforementioned application. Examining the provided passage makes it clear that the individuals involved in the case proceeded with a lack of urgency, treating the appeal more casually rather than as a serious “judicial proceeding,” effectively turning it into something resembling a “fairy tale.
